Today’s Video of the Day comes from the American Chemical Society’s Reactions series and features a look at how whiskey is made.
Hosted by Dr. Raychelle Burks of St. Edward’s University, the clip explains how the microorganisms in yeast break down sugar and produce alcohol as a byproduct. This process is called fermentation and is the genesis of ethanol, the type of alcohol humans enjoy drinking.
