Today’s Video of the Day from the Zuckerman Institute describes an interdisciplinary study that is focused on the brain and its capacity to seek out new information.
Professor and neuroscientist Jacqueline Gottlieb teamed up with Professor Michael Woodford in Columbia University’s Department of Economics to investigate what motivates the brain to dedicate its attention to certain things.
For their investigation, the researchers combined mathematical models used in Economics with brain-monitoring techniques used in Neuroscience.
The study is published in the journal Nature Human Behavior.
