Today’s Video of the Day comes from the European Space Agency’s Earth from Space series and features a look at Viti Levu in the south Pacific Ocean.
Viti Levu is the largest island in the republic of Fiji and is comprised of lush forests and towering mountains that were created by volcanic activity over time. The highest peak on the island is Mount Tomanivi, which reaches 1,320 meters in height.
These images were captured by the Copernicus Sentinel-2B satellite on September 28, 2017.
