Today’s Video of the Day comes from the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and features a look at the gamma-ray flashes produced by storm clouds.
Did you know that tropical storms produce some of the highest energy light made on Earth? They’re called terrestrial gamma-ray flashes, or TGFs. Scientists are now using data collected from NASA’s Fermi Telescope to track these flashes and learn more about how TGFs are created.
