Today’s Video of the Day from NASA Science News introduces the Window Observational Research Facility (WORF), which enhances the view of the Earth from the International Space Station (ISS).
The facility was designed to maximize the use of a high-quality window onboard the ISS for capturing images of our planet using tools such as sensors, cameras, and scanners. According to experts, the window features the most exceptional optics ever flown on a spacecraft.
The WORF was launched to the ISS on a space shuttle in 2010.
