Today’s Video of the Day from the European Space Agency features a Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite view of the Atacama Desert in Chile.
Bordered by the Pacific on the west and the Andes on the east, the Atacama is one of the driest regions in the world.
According to the ESA, there are some regions of the desert where rainfall has never been recorded.
