Today’s Video of the Day comes from Purdue University and features a look at a new system designed to help first responders collect social media reports during emergencies to more quickly and accurately address the situation.
The platform is intended to better equip and inform public safety officials during crisis situations so that they are made aware of who is in need and where.
The system is called the Social Media Analytics and Reporting Toolkit (SMART) and is a browser-based platform that filters social media posts by keywords and locations.
