Abu Dhabi is the largest of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates (UAE), spanning an area of approximately 67,000 square kilometers.
There are around 200 islands that belong to Abu Dhabi, located along 700 kilometers of coastline. Abu Dhabi houses local and federal government offices and is the home of the United Arab Emirates Government and the Supreme Petroleum Council. Therefore this beautiful city is home to the President of the UAE, who is also a member of the Al Nahyan family.
Abu Dhabi’s continious development and urbanization, coupled with the major oil and gas reserves and production and relatively high average income. There are three major bridges in the project, the largest has eight lanes, four leaving Abu Dhabi city and four coming in. The city of Abu Dhabi can be found in the southeastern side of the Arabian Peninsula. It was made the permanent capital of the United Arab Emirates in the early 1990s.
