Marajó Island in northern Brazil today’s Video of the Day comes from the European Space Agency (ESA) and features a look at the island of Marajó in northern Brazil.
The western and northwestern border of Marajó are marked by the mouth of the Amazon River, while the Atlantic Ocean forms its northeastern border and the Pará River marks its eastern border.
Popcorn clouds can be seen in the upper portion of the image, which form after water vapor is released from plants and trees during the daytime.
These images were captured by the Copernicus Sentinel-2A satellite.
