Today’s Video of the Day comes thanks to the European Space Agency’s Earth From Space series and features a look at Australia’s Lake MacKay.
Lake MacKay is located on the border of two Australian states: Western Australia and Northern Territory. The saltwater lake is actually usually dry, except for periods following seasonal rainfall. As such, it is classified as an ephemeral lake, as opposed to a seasonal lake, which holds water from longer stretches.
