Today’s Video of the Day comes from NASA Goddard and features a look at the Kilbourne Hole maar crater in New Mexico.
Scientists used the site to test new handheld geological instruments that could be used to explore the Moon, Mars, or an asteroid.
The team was led by Barry E “Butch” Wilmore, former commander of the International Space Station, who oversaw simulated moonwalks in the crater.
