Today’s Video of the Day comes from NASA Goddard and features a look at ice in Earth’s atmosphere, shown as shiny glints of light reflecting the sun.
The images were picked up by the Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) on board the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) a million miles from Earth.
These images of sun glints can offer more information on how light reflects off the Earth’s atmosphere and the planet’s radiation budget.
