Today’s Video of the Day from NASA reveals that human activities were affecting global drought patterns as far back as the year 1900.
Researchers at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) combined observational data with the environmental record stored in tree rings to explore the climate impacts of greenhouse gases.
The study produced the first historical evidence that links human-generated emissions to drought risk at near-global scales.
