Today’s Video of the Day comes from the American Chemical Society’s Reactions series and features a look at how you can grow fluorescent flowers.
Because flowers will drink whatever water is available, you can add special dyes to the water to give them a fluorescent glow. It’s all thanks to a special water soluble compound called pyranine that is commonly found is everyday highlighters.
