Ambrym in the Vanuatu archipelago Today’s Video of the Day comes from the European Space Agency’s Earth from Space series and features a look at the island of Ambrym in the Vanuatu archipelago.
Located in the South Pacific Ocean about 1,050 kilometers east of Australia, Ambrym is a volcanic island that contains two lava lakes. The island is a triangle shape that measures roughly 31 miles in width and covers 262 square miles in surface area.
These images were captured by the Copernicus Sentinel-2A satellite.
