Kitti’s hog-nosed bat, also known as Craseonycteris thonglongyai and as the bumblebee bat, is a near-threatened species of bat. The Kitti’s hog-nosed bat is the smallest species of bat and arguably the smallest mammal in the world. It has a reddish-brown or grey coat, with a distinctive pig-like snout. Kitti’s hog-nosed bat roosts in caves in limestone hills, typically very far from the entrance of any cave.
