The Indus River glows at night - Earth.com

Today’s Image of the Day comes thanks to the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at the Indus River glowing at night.

This image was created using data collected by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) onboard the Suomi NPP satellite.

The largest bright spot in the lower left of the image is the city of Karachi, Pakistan. Karachi is one of the most populous cities in the country, with over 9.3 million inhabitants. It is located at the southernmost part of the Indus River where it empties into the Arabian Sea.
