Eradicating history

In actual fact, there’s plenty of evidence indicating that the Native American tribes of Yellowstone actively set up camp around the geysers it was later claimed they feared. These features, it seems, were associated with spiritual power. The idea that indigenous people feared them was an insulting and damaging lie which sought to eradicate their rich history on the land.
