Today’s Image of the Day comes thanks to the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at Cyclone Mora making landfall over Bangladesh.
According to the Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System, Cyclone Mora has already generated wind speeds of up to 75 miles per hour. So far, over 11 million people have been affected by the storm, which has been categorized as a category 1 hurricane.
Mora is expected to weaken as it continues to move over northeast India.
This image was captured by the Moderate Resolution Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on board the Aqua satellite.
