Bogoslof Volcano is seen erupting again in this image from NASA’s Terra satellite. It shows a huge ash plume cloud, enveloping the volcano in white. Located along the southern edge of the Bering Sea, the Bogoslof Volcano is situated around 35 miles northwest of Unalaska Island, part of the Aleutian Island chain. This amazing image was captured on January 18th. The Alaska Volcano Observatory, or AVO, provides regular reports about eruption levels.
