Examples of coney grouper exhibiting different color variations.

Also the Coney Grouper is a stunning large red grouper. Coney Groupers have a red body with white spots covering the majority of its body.

Some specimens have the lower half of their body completely covered in white. Coney Groupers can reach a maximum size of 16 inches, so they are required to be housed in an aquarium of at least 240 gallons.

Coney Groupers get along well with most larger fish and can be an interesting addition to larger tanks. They car carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods to thrive. Food such as frozen krill, squid, feeder fish and fresh seafood are great for Coney Groupers.
