Images of the day - Earth.com

Today’s Image of the Day from the European Space Agency features s fascinating closeup view of Jupiter captured by the James Webb Space Telescope. The observations will provide scientists with new details of Jupiter’s inner life.

“In this wide-field view, Webb sees Jupiter with its faint rings, which are a million times fainter than the planet, and two tiny moons called Amalthea and Adrastea,” says ESA. “The fuzzy spots in the lower background are likely galaxies ‘photobombing’ this Jovian view.”
