Today’s Video of the Day comes from NASA Goddard and features a look at a tour of the moon in never-before-seen 4K resolution.
The data comes thanks to NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) spacecraft, which has been gathering information about the moon since 2009.
The visualization begins on the near side of the moon in the Orientale Basin, and then moves to the South Pole, which experiences some of the coldest recorded temperatures in the solar system.
