This 1882 image shows the famous Lakota Sioux chief Sitting Bull with his mother, a sister, two of his daughters, and a grandson. Famously, he was the principal leader of the Cheyenne and Sioux braves who fought the U.S. Cavalry at the Battle of Little Big Horn. If you don’t remember from history class, General George Custer and 210 of his men were ultimately killed in the skirmish. Photo Credit: Von Bern
