Today’s Image of the Day comes thanks to the NASA Earth Observatory and features a look at the Dalmatian Coastline in the Adriatic Sea.
The Dalmatian Coastline is located in Croatia near the city of Split, and is easily one of the most rugged coastlines on the planet.
The jagged coast was caused by tectonic activity called faulting.
This photo was taken by an astronaut on board the International Space Station.
