It is endemic to Idaho in the United States, where it is mostly limited to a specific habitat type in the southwestern part of the state. It was federally listed as a threatened species in 2009. a herbaceous and relatively low-growing member of the mustard family (Brassicaceae), which averages 5 to 20 centimeters (cm) (2 to 8 inches (in)), but can reach up to 40 cm (16 in) in height.
