(Aquilegia pyrenaica)
Aquilegia pyrenaica can reach a height of 10–30 centimetres (3.9–11.8 in). This plant is closely related to the taller Aquliegia alpina. Stem is usually simple, more or less glabrous. The leaves are blue-green, petiolate and trifoliate. The flowers are bright blue or lilac, 3–5 centimetres (1.2–2.0 in) wide and 2.5–3.5 centimetres (0.98–1.38 in). Spurs are long, slender and very little curved, stamens are yellow and protruding. This plant blooms from April to June.
