(Satyrium neglectum)
atyrium neglectum is a species of terrestrial orchid belonging to the subtribe Satyriinae, originating from Tanzania to South Africa. It is an annual plant, endowed with few roots that present tubercles that originate stems, as a rule smooth, with few leaves. The inflorescence bears small, non-resupinate terminal flowers, with similar sepals and petals, joined at the base. The lip is concave extending into twocalcars at the base, rarely four. The column is variable and auriculated and contains two pollinia. Its flowering is apparently stimulated by occasional fires. There are two varieties, brevicalcar and woodii
