(Sapium laurocerasus)
This evergreen tree grows to 60 feet (18 meters) in height with a 3 foot (91 centimeter) trunk diameter. It can be readily recognized by its oblong, shiny dark-green leaves, 6 inches (15 centimeters) long and 2 inches (5 centimeters) wide. Its flowers are small yellowish-green, flowering from spring to fall. The milky sap of this tree is extremely poisonous and caustic, and may cause severe dermatitis.
