Description

The Argentine land turtle ( Chelonoidis chilensis ( Gray,1870 ) is a tortoise of the Testudinidae family that lives in Argentina and in the southwest of Paraguay It was described in 1870 by the zoologist George Robert Gray,who was based on some specimens from Chile (hence the specific Latin name).
