Description

The Pyrenean desman is 11-16 cm long and has a tail of 12-16 cm;weighs 35-80 g (the female is larger than the male).It can live more than 3.5 years.It has a characteristic prolonged snout,so much so that in France it is nicknamed rat à trompette for the shape of its snout.
