Description

The Finn Weaver (Ploceus megarhynchus) is a species of passerine bird of the family Ploceidae 3 that lives in the north of the Indian subcontinent.The species was described by Allan Octavian Hume from a sample obtained in Kaladhungi,near Nainital;being later rediscovered in Terai,near Calcutta,by Frank Finn.4 Note 1 Oates called it "this berry" in 1889,5 and Stuart Baker called "Berry Finn" in the second edition ( 1925 ) of the Fauna of British India.
