(Phalacrocorax neglectus)
The shoal cormorant is a corpulent and long-necked bird,with a tail-to-tail length of about 76 cm.3 Its plumage is mainly black with a bronze glow,although its wings are dark brown and its rump is white.Adults have a small plume near the forehead,and during breeding season they have white phytoplumes in a variable quantity on the head,neck and rump,which give them a fine speck that disappears as soon as the breeding season ends.
