Description

Pseudomys novaehollandiae is a rodent from the genus Pseudomys that occurs in Australia.Its range covers a number of isolated areas from Southeast Queensland to Victoria and North Tasmania.There he lives in dry forests.The back is gray-brown,the bottom is light gray,with a sharp separation.The long tail is light brown from top and bottom white.The tip is a bit darker.The feet are white.The head-body length is 65 to 90 mm,the tail length is 80 to 105 mm,the hindfoot length 20 to 22 mm,the ear length 15 to 18 mm and the weight 15 to 25 grams.Females have 0 + 2 = 4 mammae.The species is active at night and lives in holes,which are often several meters long.He eats seeds,roots,fungi and arthropods.During the spring and early summer,different nests from two to six young can be raised.
