Description

Meriones libycus is a mammalian species described by Lichtenstein in 1823.Meriones libycus is part of the genus Meriones,and the family of rat animals.No subspecies are listed.A medium sized desert dish with a length of 24 to 36 cm,including the 12 to 19 cm long tail.The weight varies from 60 to 140 grams.The fur on the top is brownish gray and more pure gray on the back and small,whitish spots behind the ears.The tail has thick,yellowish gray coat with reddish base and a black hairbrush at the tip.
