Gerbillus latastei is a mammalian species described by Thomas and Édouard Louis Trouessart in 1903.Gerbillus latastei is part of the genus Gerbillus and the family of rat animals.The IUCN categorizes the species globally as viable.No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life. This desert is found in southern Tunisia and northwestern Libya.It lives there in deserts and semi-deserts,often on hills or dunes.
