Description

Batomys russatus is a rodent from the genus Batomys that occurs in the lowland rainforests of Dinagat,a small island north of Mindanao in the Philippines.Three copies are known.The scientific name is derived from the English russet "red-brown" with the Latin suffix atus and refers to the color of this species.
