(Apomys insignis)
On the mountain forest of Mindanao Topo (apomys insignis Mearns,1905) is a rodent of the family of Murids widespread in the Philippines.The upper parts are brownish-gray,densely covered with blackish hair on the head and back,the tip of the snout and the throat are gray-brownish.The ventral parts are fawn-cinnamon,with a whitish area in the center of the chest.The front legs are white.The back of the feet is greyish,with white fingers.The tail is longer than the head and body,uniformly colored slate and with 12 rings of scales per centimeter.
