Description

Praslinia cooperi is a species of amphibian gymnion in the family Indotyphlidae.It is the only species of the Praslinia genus.The name of the genus derives from that of Praslin Island,a town cited as the discovery of a specimen;although it is considered that the appointment may be erroneous.It is endemic to the Seychelles : it inhabits the islands Mahé and Silhouette.It is located at an altitude higher than 280 meters above sea level.
