The Sowerby mesoplodon ( Mesoplodon bidens ) is a cetacean odontoceto from the Ziphiidae family.It was the first mesoplodon to have been described.Its name,bidens,is due to the two teeth present on the jaw,characteristic,this,which was then very common among the members of this genus.
