Description

Terrapene coahuila is a tortoise from the family terrapins (Emydidae).The species was first scientifically described by Karl Patterson Schmidt and David W.Owens in 1944 The turtle reaches a maximum shield length of up to about 17 centimeters.The head and legs are gray-brown to green-gray in color Terrapene coahuila occurs endemically in Mexico,and then only in the state of Coahuila de Zaragoza.
