Description

The capricial nitticora ( Nyctanassa violacea (Linnaeus,1758)) is a bird of the relatively small family of the Ardeidae,which lives in a large part of the Americas,especially along the warmer coastal regions.The adult specimens of capricialus nitticora are about 61 cm long and weigh on average 625 grams.They have the body of a grayish shade and a white crown,red eyes,marked by white bands at the bottom,and small yellow legs.The young specimens have a brown plumage,mottled with white or gray.
