Description

Scaphirhynchus platorynchus or Sturgeon scaphirhynque is a species of fish belonging to the order of Acipenseriformes.It is the smallest species ofendemic freshwater sturgeon in the United States.It is also the most abundant of sturgeons,and is found in the basins of Missouri and Mississippi.It is also the only sturgeon caught for its trade in the United States.
