Green tiger beetle

Description

Cicindela campestris,commonly called the green tiger beetle is a widespread Eurasian species of tiger beetle.It is the type species of the large genus Cicindela.It is a Cicindela long 10-14 mm,with wing covers are bright green and white design elitrale,formed by a crescent humeral and apical divided into two small points;a white dot in the middle of the side edge and one on the disc.In the female there is a black circular spot on the sides of the suture,in the anterior third.The sides of the pronotum,the scutellum,the legs,and the first 4 items of the antennas are copper-colored;below the coloring is bluish-green.The forehead and the first article of the antennas are pubescent.
