(Badister bullatus)
Badister bullatus is a species of ground beetle in the genus Badister. They can be found in Europe and eastward into Siberia as well. The species was first described as Carabus bullatus by Franz von Paula Schrank in 1798. Badister is a genus of ground beetle in the family Carabidae native to North Africa, the Near East and the Palearctic, including Europe. In Ireland, Badister species are mostly confined to the south and west but no further north than midland counties, although the species number matches British and exceeds the Scandinavian totals.
